DJ FUNKY G
>>> MIXES <<<
Music flows in everyone’s blood. But for some, the beat pumps harder and faster. Funky G grew up around music, looking up to his father, a musician, and his older brother, a DJ. They played a large part in inspiring him to take a schoolboy love affair with bass-bumping beats and turn it into a successful DJ career.
That career started early. He announced his arrival to the scene at a young age, eagerly winning his first competition at 14. Shortly after, he was hailed as Technics DMC South African DJ Champ (2001). It was the beginning of exciting things to come and highlights include playing alongside some of the world’s biggest names (including Deadmau5, Avicii, Skrillex, Aoki, Afrojack, Paul van Dyk, Pleasurekraft, Nelix and Stimming) & collaborating with local artists (including Goldfish, Locnville, DJ Fresh, Euphonik, Timo ODV, Die Antwoord and Jack Parow).
Funky G’s superpower has always been his ability to read a room and give it what it wants: from ‘Old School’ to Techno, deep house to hip-hop. After 20 years of moving crowds with his sound, invites from the country and abroad continue to stream in, as club owners and event organisers vie for his skill on the decks.
DJ DARIO

As a DJ, if you want to type-cast me, you can call me a music junkie. My love for music started when I was growing up listening to my dads disco and pop records and spending Saturdays shopping for new music. From there I travelled through rock ‘n roll, soul/ R&B, indie and house music in order to land me up with a vast collection of music and a knowledge that grows everyday. My speciality is selecting music that perfectly suits the mood and crowd. Be it a big celebration or an intimate affair, the music I play will smoothly guide the crowd from quiet moments of a meal, to the full blown dance party, where young and old are kicking off their shoes. With many years of deejaying experience in the art, club, festival, fashion and wedding scenes my main focus is to curate music that suits each events individual tastes.

DJ THE ROBFATHER
Robert 'The Robfather' Scholtz has been involved in the Music industry for so long, that he was once dubbed a 'music industry cockroach' by the head of, now bankrupt, EMI records. Because 'every time I walk into a new room and turn on the light you're already there in the corner Rob'
Working in the industry since 1996, he's DJ'd with many of South Africas most respected live acts.
His DJ style is eclectic and textured with gems new and old. Well known for being able to read a crowd and give them what they want. He would rather play for the crowd than the bloggers chin stroking in the corner.
He earned his DJ moniker through string pulling and favour trading behind the scenes, to help new and undiscovered DJ's and bands gain recognition. At a time when they were deemed 'too underground', or were just the victims of industry nepotism.
He would like it known, that buying him tequila shots while he's DJ'ing is not only polite but encouraged...

In 2000 Frost became one of the first Fender endorsees in South Africa and has been linked with the brand ever since.

In a departure from Frost’s blues roots, The Wake Up explores various musical avenues and lyrical content to create something he says will surprise and excite his fans. The album won in the coveted Best
Rock Album category at the 2017 SAMA Awards.
After a very successful 2017 Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees, Frost was nominated for a Kanna award as well as a kykNET-Fiëstas 2018 for the Best Music Production for
the two shows: with Loki Rothman (The Acoustic Guitar) and with Zolani Mahola (Rok en Rol.) In December Albert Frost was also invited to perform with Henry Ate at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens opening for the Scottish band TEXAS.

The Hout Bay Ingoma Choir
video link - https://youtu.be/dOyLrkW1jP8
A South African choir based in Hout Bay near Cape Town, passionate about music and the African choral tradition, and focussed on music and song as a route to personal and community upliftment.
The Ingoma choir was formed in 2016 as a privately sponsored social enterprise. We held open auditions in Imizamo yethu and got an incredible response - dozens of amazing, talented singers turned up! We began rehearsals, under the guidance of our conductor Zamile Gantana, trained baritone and internationally-touring actor and singer, and quickly went from strength to strength.
Our first public performances were two ticketed concerts in Hout Bay, which were an awesome success, and following this we began to be hired for weddings, conferences and other private events. We were also accepted onto the the V&A Waterfront’s programme and perform there once or twice a month. The sky is the limit. Everyone who hears us seems blown away by our beautiful harmonies, and has led to the tagline....“Goosebumps guaranteed”
